This movie takes place shortly after the attack at Pearl Harbor. The army is setting up defenses in California to protect against a Japanese invasion of the mainland. In this movie, a Japanese submarine decides it wants to attack Hollywood. This movie's plot is somewhat hard to explain. It was directed by Steven Spielberg. I didn't find it too funny in spite of the star-packed cast.
