K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: American Graffiti

Starring: Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Cindy Williams

Co-starring: Harrison Ford, Wolfgang Jack, Mackenzie Phillips

Rated PG

Time: approx. 110 min.

Ron Howard and Richard Dreyfuss play high school graduates who are out on the town the night before they are supposed to go off to college. Cindy Williams plays Ron Howard's character's girlfriend. The setting of the movie is during the 1950s. The kids spend the night cruising the strip, going to the local drive-in burger joint, crash the freshman hop, and do some drag racing. I believe this is the first big movie that was directed by George Lucas and is number 77 on the AFI Top 100. I think this movie described the time period well. Though, I guess I have no frame of reference since I didn't live during the 50s. I have watched a lot of episodes of Happy Days, so I am kind of an expert. I didn't see what was that great about this movie, but it wasn't bad. This movie is worth renting on the cheap or watching on the tv.
