K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Bruce Almighty

Jim Carrey plays Bruce Nolan, a television report who doesn't seem to have any luck. After a bad day, Bruce becomes convinced that everyone is against him, including God. Now I'm not talking about some wuss Greek or Roman gods, but I'm talking about the capital "G" God. Anywho, God (played by Morgan Freeman) decides to have a little conversation with Bruce. The jist of the conversation, or "convo" as Fonzie would say, is that God says it isn't as easy as you think to be God, and that maybe you (Bruce) should trying doing it. So God decides to take a little holiday and allow Bruce to take over His powers. As in Brewster's Millions, one of the stipulations is that Bruce cannot tell anyone that he has His powers. Bruce goes at and starts having a lot of fun with His powers. Like my favorite scene (shown above), Bruce parts his tomato soap. With the new powers, Bruce starts reversing his fortune. However, while things start going well for Bruce, the rest of the world starts to become neglected. Bruce also starts to lose touch with his girlfriend, played by Jennifer Aniston. I thought this was a pretty good movie. I'm a Jim Carrey fan. There isn't that much slapstick type humor in this movie unlike a lot of Carrey's other movies. Jennifer Aniston looks good as always. I would say this movie is worth renting.
