K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Dark Blue

The setting of this movie is Los Angeles during the verdict of the trial of the police officers charged with beating up Rodney King. Kurt Russell plays the standard movie cop that bends a few rules to get the job done to get bad guys off the street. He's not exactly afraid of planting evidence or pinning crimes on innocent people if he feels that they are bad people. Russell's character and his new partner, played by Scott Speedman, are investigating a robbery that resulted in the murder of four people. It turns out everyone is corrupt. Ving Rhames plays an assistant police chief that is looking to clean up the police force so he's trying to pin some illegal actions on Russell's character. I thought this was a pretty good movie. I think Kurt Russell did a good job. Ving Rhames is always cool. I thought it was pretty interesting that they incorporated the LA riots into the movie. I thought this movie is worth watching.
