K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story

Vince Vaughn plays an owner of a gym that caters to losers that are shunned from other places. He's a nice guy, but not a very good businessman, so he's in tremendous debt to a tune of $50,000. Ben Stiller plays the owner of a rival gym company that is across the street from Vaughn's character's gym. Stiller's character is positioning so he can take over the other gym when it is taken over by the bank. The gym rats at the rundown gym come up with an idea to play in a big national dodgeball competition in which the prize money if they won would be enough to save the gym. This movie wasn't too funny. Vince Vaughn is a much better obnoxious quasi- bad guy like in his other movies, unlike this movie where he's an obnoxious quasi- good guy. Ben Stiller has also been in much funnier movies. The funniest portions of this movie come from Jason Bateman as one of the commentators during the dodgeball competition. On the plus side for this movie, even though it is very good, it is the best movie about dodgeball that I've ever seen. All in all, I wouldn't bother renting this movie.
