K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Escape from New York

The year is 1997 and the state of New York has been barricaded off and turned into a giant prison. The US took a page out of Great Britain's book by creating one giant prison where all criminals are dumped. Once criminals are sentenced to go to New York, they never come back out. In New York, there is no laws and anything goes. Air Force One has some problems during flight and the President is forced to eject and he ends up landing in New York. The government needs someone to go in to get the President out so they turn to an ex-military stud turned criminal named "Snake" Plissken (Kurt Russell). This movie was written and directed by John Carpenter, and has become in some eyes a cult classic. I thought it was pretty decent. I like that it has the old dude in it that starred in the tv show "The Master". I also like movies that are set in the future, but in a year that has already passed by the time that I saw the movie. This movie is worth renting if it's on the cheap, like I got it for free when renting another movie.
