K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Fight Club

The first rule of the Fight Club movie review is: This movie sucks. The second rule of the Fight Club movie review is: This movie sucks. The third rule of the Fight Club movie review is: This movie is too long. The fourth rule of the Fight Clubs movie review is: ?. Well I can't think of any more rules, but they wouldn't be too complimentary if I could think of any. Anyway as for the movie, Edward Norton plays a guy who is having some problems with insomnia, so he decides to kill his time by going to support groups for people with specific medical conditions. On a flight coming back home from a business trip, Edward Norton's character meets Tyler Durden, played by Brad Pitt. Due to an unusual circumstance, Edward Norton's character is forced to spend a lot of time with Tyler Durden. These two end up start fighting each other as a way to relieve stress. The word starts getting around and more people join this underground club to fight one another. This club this expands and becomes like a cult. Tyler Durden uses his followers as the pawns in his master plan called Project Mayhem. Basically, this is a movie that makes losers feel good about themselves, in that it implies that credit card companies are the root of all evil and are responsible for existence of the "lower class". Furthermore, the movie implies that the only way to become enlightened is to leave all material possessions behind and join a club to fight. I believe this will be the type of movie that in a decade people will make fun of it as being such a 90s movie, a Generation X movie in that life sucks and it's all because of Corporate America. It is completely opposite of an 80s style movie that often encouraged greed and money. I thought this was a stupid movie. The worst part is that it wasn't even a short bad movie; it was a long bad movie being 2 hours 20 minutes. To show that my review isn't all negative, here's a positive comment about this movie: To date this is the best acting performance that I've seen from Meat Loaf. All in all, I would say don't waste your time with this movie.
