K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: The Firm

Tom Cruise plays Mitch McDeere a young hotshot lawyer fresh out of law school who is being recruited by all of the top law firms. He ends up choosing a small Memphis firm that gives him everything he wants: cash, house, car. Everything seems to be going swell until Mitch discovers that no one seems to be able to leave the firm without dying. Mitch also discovers that the feds are investigating the firm for some shady dealings. So Mitch wants out, but the firm won't let him without a fight. This is a pretty decent movie. It is based on the novel by John Grisham. Tom Cruise does a fine job playing this role. He should do a good job because it is the same basic role that he does in most of his movies, the young hotshot at whatever profession. I would say this movie is worth renting.
