K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review
Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Gangs of New York
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Carmeron Diaz, Daniel Day-Lewis
Co-starring:
Rated R
Time: approx. 165 min.
This movie was directed by Martin Scorsese that was nominated for Best Picture. The setting is New York, obviously, in the pre- Cival War years where there are a bunch of different street gangs made up of different ethnic/religious groups who like to sit around and fight with each other. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a kid whose father was killed in a gang fight by a rival gang member. DiCaprio's character takes off and grows up in a monistary. He comes back about 15 years later and ends up becoming the right-hand man of the guy who killed his father. He plans on using this role to get close enough that he can get his revenge by killing his father's killer. This movie was okay. I thought it was extremely long, and became boring even with all of its violence. At the end of the movie, I became so bored that I played some tetris, so I don't really know too well how the movie concluded. It would have been a lot better if they would have trimmed off about a half hour from this film.
