K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: The Graduate

Starring: Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft, Katharine Ross

Time: approx. 106 min.

Dustin Hoffman plays Ben Braddock, a recent college graduate who is seduced by a married neighbor, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft). Ben Braddock also begins to date Mrs. Robinson's daughter to please his parents. He ends up falling in love with the daughter which doesn't make Mrs. Robinson too happy, so all hell breaks loose. For some reason this movie is number 7 on the AFI Top 100 list. I don't really see why. I thought it was pretty boring and fairly pointless. This movie was also nominated for 7 Academy Awards and won for Best Director. This movie does have a couple of famous scenes and a few famous lines. I don't think this movie is worth watching. I think I could come up with about a million movies that would fit better in that #7 slot.
