K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review
Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Lost in Translation
This movie written and directed by Sofia Coppola, I believe the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola of Godfather fame. Bill Murray plays an actor that is in Tokoyo to film a whiskey commercial. He is there alone, so he is quite bored and hangs around the hotel bar. There he meets a young newly-wed American woman (Scarlett Johansson) who is also there alone since her husband is busy off working on a photography job. Bill Murray's character, who is also married, and this woman start spending a lot of time together and start to develop a romance. This is pretty much an art type film. I guess it explores what people do when they are taken out of their normal culture. It also looks at the possibilities of people having affairs when they are away from their loved ones. This movie is up for lots of awards including Best Picture. Bill Murray is also up for Best Actor. I thought this movie was a bit to artsy for my tastes. I thought it was really boring. The good thing about the movie is that it isn't too long. Most of these movies tend to be like 4 hours long, but this one is just over an hour and a half. I wouldn't recommend watching this movie.
