K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Man on Fire

Denzel Washington plays Creasy an ex-military guy who is hired by a rich family in Mexico City to be a personal bodyguard for their young daugther Pita. The family is concerned for Pita's safety because there has been a rash of abductions of rich people's kids to get the ransoms. Despite Creasy's best efforts, Pita is kidnapped. Creasy is not too happy about this so he vows revenge on everyone that was involved is the crime and he goes on a bit of a killing spree. This movie was pretty good. It is a bit slow moving at times and also that it didn't answer all of the questions that were brought up throughout the movie, unless I just missed the answers because I wasn't paying close enough attention. For instance, Creasy is an alcoholic and extremely depressed, but we never find out why, nor do you find out what is wrong with his hand. Also, you never really understand what Christopher Walken's character is doing there. Speaking of Christopher Walken, he should have had a larger role with more dialogue because he is hilarious. All in all, I would say this movie is worth renting.
