K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Midnight Cowboy

In this movie that was, from what I've heard, the first movie to receive an X rating, Jon Voight plays Joe Buck. He is a guy who has just moved to New York from Texas so he can become a male prostitute. There he meets a Bronx native named Enrico Salvatore 'Ratso' Rizzo who is played by Dustin Hoffman. Rizzo is a sickly con man that becomes Joe's friend and manager. Rizzo's goal is to get enough cash together so that he can move to Florida. This movie is number 36 on the AFI Top 100 for some reason. I didn't really get this movie. It did have a couple of pretty famous scenes in it like when Rizzo is walking in the street and is a car honks at him and he yells at the car driver that he's walking there. Another scene where Joe Buck and Rizzo are riding away on a bus that was spoofed in a Seinfeld episode. All in all, I wouldn't bother watching this movie.
