K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: On The Waterfront

Time: approx. 105 min.

Marlon Brando plays an ex-boxer who is now working on the docks. He is also involved with the mob which is explointing the labor union that works the waterfront. Violence keeps the workers from going to the authorities to report the wrongdoings. Brando's character ends of finding a new reason to go against the mob. Brando also busts out the "I could have been a contender" line in the film. This movie was nominated for 12 Academy Awards and won 8, I believe. This movie ranks #8 on the AFI Top 100. I thought the movie was good. Of the old school AFI movies I've watched recently, I think I liked this one the most.
