K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Out of Time

Denzel Washington plays a small Florida town police chief. He is separated from his wife (Eva Mendes) and having an affair with another married woman (Sanaa Lathan). It turns out that his lover has some problems in her life, including being abused by her husband (Dean Cain aka "Superman") and another big problem that I won't reveal here. Denzel's character, being the police chief, has access to a large sum of money, approximately $450,000, that is being held as evidence. He decides that he wants to help her by giving her the cash so she can't disappear and leave her husband. Well everything falls apart and a big investigation occurs that is being led by Denzel's wife, who is also a police detective. The police don't realize it, but everything in the investigation points towards Denzel's character. So he is trying to stay one step ahead of everyone and catch all of the bad guys. I was looking forward to this movie because I thought the previews looked really good. I was a little worried since it took a while for this movie to get going. However, after a half hour or so when the movie does get going, it becomes very interesting. It is one of the combination who dunnit?, thriller, suspense type of movie. This movie also gave Dean Cain a different type of role than I've seen him play before. It was kind of weird having Superman being a wife-beater. All in all, I would say this movie is worth renting.
