K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Johnny Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow, a pirate who ends up being teamed up with a young blacksmith (Orlando Bloom) in a rescue mission of the babelicious govenor's daughter (Keira Knightley), each man for his own reasons. She had been kidnapped by a band of cursed pirates. The pirates are truly ghosts in limbo between life and death. When the moonlight hits their bodies, it reveals their true nature. The pirates were planning on using the govenor's daughter in a ceremony to reverse their curse. There is lots of fun action and Johnny Depp is quite comical in this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The only problem I had was that at approximately 2 hours in the movie, it appears that everything is wrapped up nicely and that the movie should be over. Everyone would be happy, let's go get some cocktails or something. However, there is another 20 minutes left in the movie. Had they edited the last 20 minutes out, I think this movie would have been better. I was expecting this movie to be a bit cheesy and kind of a movie for kids, but I think that anyone could watch this movie and like it. Johnny Depp had a very good perfomance. I would say you should check out this movie.
