K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: The Pride of the Yankees

Starring: Gary Cooper, Babe Ruth

Co-starring:

Rated NR

Time: approx. 128 min.

This movie tells the life story of Lou Gehrig. It starts briefly in Lou's childhood years playing baseball in the streets. The movie also shows how much of a momma's boy Gehrig was, that is if this movie is accurate. So much so, that Gehrig wasn't going to pursue a career in baseball so he could go to college to become an engineer to please his mother. The movie of course ends with his famous goodbye to baseball speech at Yankee Stadium. In a nifty note, Babe Ruth plays himself in the movie. If you're a baseball fan at all, you would probably like this movie.
