K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I've seen.

Movie: The Punisher

Thomas Jane stars as Frank Castle a FBI agent who wants to get out of the FBI game and disappear from the world with his wife and son. Unfortunately for Frank, during his last job, he created a very powerful enemy of a dirty businessman Howard Saint (John Travolta). Howard Saint is a little upset with Frank Castle so he kills Castle's family. In turn, Frank Castle is a bit mad and upset that the police don't do anything so he decides to hunt down Howard Saint and all of his crew. I never read any of these comics so I didn't really know what to expect from this movie. The Punisher is not your standard super hero. He's kind of a poor man's Batman. This movie was a bit longer than I was expecting. I thought John Travolta did a very good job playing the bad guy. I liked how The Punisher didn't mess around to much that he just went in and kills a lot of people. You also had to love Kevin Nash as the big Russian dude. This movie is not for the little kids to go see, but for the rest of world, I recommend checking out this action flick. On a little side note that I learned from watching the DVD extras, there were no CGI (computer aided) stunts in this movie. All stunts were old school stunt men and explosions.
