K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Road to Perdition

Starring: Tom Hanks, Jude Law, Paul Newman, Jason Leigh

Co-starring:

Rated R

Time: approx. 120 min.

The time is around the Great Depression and the setting is in the midwest. Tom Hanks plays Michael O'Sullivan, a hitman in an organized crime family which is led by Paul Newman's character. Michael's profession is a mystery to his family, so his son decides to hide in his father's car when his father goes on his job. The kid witnesses some bad things that his father and his father's partner participated in. The family discovers the kid, so they decide to punish Michael O'Sullivan. This upsets Michael very much. So he turns on the family. I thought this movie was pretty boring. It was a cheap knock off of a Godfather movie. I didn't really believe Tom Hanks as a mafia hitman. I was expecting more out of Paul Newman and Tom Hanks. I wouldn't bother watching this movie.
