K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Summer of Sam

Starring: John Leguizamo, Adrien Brody, Mira Sorvino, Jennifer Esposito, Anthony LaPaglia

Co-starring:

Rated R

Time: approx. 142 min.

A Spike Lee Joint that tells the story of the Son of Sam serial killer in New York. One of the story lines is that John Leguizamo's character is at one of the murder spots right before a murder happens so he gets all freaked out. This and other things ruin his marriage. Another story line is how the mob and many of the people in the neighborhood are searching for the killer and they suspect everyone. Eventually, innocent people get hurt while the real killer is caught. All in all a decent movie. The Italian people are pretty nifty and Spike Lee's cameos are somewhat funny. It does get pretty long. One could have easily trimmed out about forty-five minutes. However, this movie is probably worth renting.
