K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Saving Silverman

Starring: Jack Black, Jason Briggs, Amanda Peet, Steve Zahn, Amanda Detmer

Co-starring: Neil Diamond, the drill instructor from Full Metal Jacket

Rated PG-13

Time: approx. 92 min.

Jason Briggs is Darren Silverman, a guy who is in a Neil Diamond tribute band with his two best buds, Jack Black and Steve Zahn, that he has known since high school. Darren falls in love with Amanda Peet's character, Judith. She turns out to be extremely controling and forbids him from seeing his old friends. Jack Black and Steve Zahn's characters decide to attempt to get Darren and Judith to break up and for Darren to get back together with his old high school crush. I liked this movie. I thought it was pretty funny. Would have been nice if Amanda Peet would have been naked, but oh well. There is an appearence by Neil Diamond and lots of Neil Diamond music in the movie, so that's pretty cool. You like this movie if you like the simple stupid comedies style of movie.
