Kirk Douglas plays Spartacus in this Stanley Kubrick film. Spartacus is a slave who is taken to be trained as a gladiator. He leads a revolt against his masters. After his escape, Spartacus forms an army with all of the freed slaves and starts a revolt against Rome itself. This is a pretty decent movie. It is very long though. It is suppose to be a classic and I had to watch it in junior high, so I guess it is worth watching.
