K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review

Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: A Streetcar Named Desire

Starring: Marlon Brando, Vivien Leigh, Kim Hunter

Time: approx. 125 min.

This movie is about a woman named Blanche Dubois who goes to, I believe, Brooklyn to live stay with her sister Stella and her boyfriend Stanley. She stays longer than expected and Stanley becomes sick of her. She acts as if she is a high society type and is disgusted by Stanley, but she also finds herself attracted to him. Stanley does some asking around and finds out that Blanche isn't exactly what she made herself out to be. I didn't really follow what was going on throughout most of the movie. This movie is number 45 on the AFI list. Also it is the movie that has the famous scene of Marlon Brando yelling for Stella. All in all, I didn' think this movie was all that great.
