K Dogg’s Quick Movie Review
Here’s a short review of a recent movie I’ve seen.

Movie: Orange County
Starring: Colin Hanks, Jack Black
Co-starring:
Rated PG-13
Time: approx. 85 min.
Colin Hanks plays a straight "A" high school senior who has only one dream in life which is to go to study writing at Stanford. He has all the credentials, but unfortunately for him, his high school guidance counselor has him confused with someone else so sends Stanford the wrong transcripts. Consequently, Stanford turns him down. So he's pretty much down in the dumps thinking his life is over when his older, junkie, loser brother, played by Jack Black, convinces him that they should head to Stanford and plead their case with the Dean of Admissions. This is where in the movie comedy is supposed to ensue, however in this movie, that does not happen. Jack Black has a couple of funny moments and their a a few comedic big names with bit roles (Chevy Chase, Ben Stiller, Harold Ramis), but this movie just isn't good. About the only good thing to do with this movie is that the star, Colin Hanks, is the son of Tom Hanks which has inspired me. How has this inspired me you ask? Well I figure that prequels are the rage these days, so I figure I'll pitch an idea for a movie in which Tom Hanks' son stars with Peter Scolari's son in a movie prequel to Bosom Buddies. Now how sweet would that be? Imagine you could learn about them before their apartment building was demolished forcing them to live in drag in a hotel for women. I can see the money rolling in to me. Anyway, back to the movie review. This movie sucks. The only reason I rented it was that I got it free when I rented Dark Blue.
